Turning Grief Into Glory

No matter where we are right now, no matter how many walls we may have, no matter how we may have behaved; God is waiting for us to come to Him. As we come to Him again and again, He will begin to change us and enable us to take up His yoke and to follow Him. When we do this: When we lay aside our own walls or yokes and take on His, not only will we find "rest", but we will also find faith, power, and glory.
"Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." John 12:24-26
When we give up our walls, they will eventually die. If our ways do die, then God promises that we will live, and not just that we will live, but that we will produce "many seeds". If we will serve Jesus, then that will mean following Him through His death and onto His resurrection. He also promises that the Father will honor us.
These are great promises to look forward to if we will just hold onto what faith we have and begin to come before the Lord.
